Helsinki Cup, one of Europe's largest youth tournaments, has agreed on extending the cooperation with Solidsport for the next three years. That with the ambition of broadcasting all 4000 games from around 100 fields.
Solidsport is continuing to increase their youth tournament success. Helsinki Cup is now the next large tournament to follow the example of Storvretacupen, Partille Cup, Gothia Cup, Lundaspelen and 180 other tournaments across Nordics, by extending their cooperation with Solidsport.
"This allowed those family members and relatives staying at home to be part of the great tournament atmosphere"
The Helsinki Cup is one of the largest youth tournaments across Europe with over 20 000 participants, playing over 4000 games on around 100 fields. Last year, the majority of the games was broadcasted on Solidsport and were made available to watch with Pay-Per-View.
The parties have now agreed on a three year extension with the ambition of broadcasting all games from all fields.
– The option to watch the games as a stream improves the health safety significantly and provides the viewers with a great additional service. Last summer we hired around 70 people behind the cameras to broadcast the games for the entire tournament week, so we got footage from nearly all of the fields. This allowed also those family members and relatives staying at home to be part of the great tournament atmosphere. It’s wonderful that the Solidsport cooperation will continue also in the future, says Helsinki Cup CEO Kirsi Kavanne.
It's a privilege to be part of the Helsinki Cup and at the same time help provide summer jobs for 100 young people
Solidsport is already fully integrated with the live scoring system of the tournament and this cooperation benefits both parties. Last summer Gigantti was also a key partner providing Samsung Tablets with streaming devices for all fields.
– Now that the first time has been successfully completed and we have a clear idea that a massive event such as the Helsinki Cup can be streamed, it is great to continue with a long-term commitment. We have learned a lot from last summer with the organizer and the next one will be an even greater success. It's a privilege to be part of the Helsinki Cup and at the same time help provide summer jobs for 100 young people, says Solidsport Finland Country Manager Sauli Silvonen.
Solidsport was founded with the vision of enabling all sports at all levels. That by creating an easy streaming platform that enables everyone to broadcast their sport live. Since the start, 160 000+ games and sporting events have been broadcasted on Solidsport, generating 5 000 000€+ in revenue to those thousands teams and clubs using the platform.
