Solidsport secures new handball agreement in Germany

Handballverband Württemberg e.V. is now the fourth association in Germany to join Solidsport.

Handballverband Württemberg e.V. is now the fourth association in Germany to sign an exclusive streaming partnership deal.
– The creation of video content and provision to coaches, players and also spectators is becoming more and more important for our clubs and the development of our sport, says Hans Artschwager, President of Handballverband Württemberg.

"The corona pandemic and the partial exclusion of spectators in the arenas have further accelerated this development. We have therefore made a conscious decision to expand our service for our clubs and rely on Solidsport, a provider who provides the right solutions for all game levels”,  says Artschwager.

With a long and successful partnership with handball associations in the Nordics, Solidsport is now starting to gather the German handball community under one streaming umbrella. 

During 2021, the handball associations of Berlin, Baden and Handball Baden-Württemberg have signed exklusive streaming partnership deals with Solidsport – with the ambition of broadcasting handball on all levels in their regions. 

With Solidsport we have now found the right partner to take the logical step towards live streaming.

Now, Handballverband Württemberg e.V. has chosen to follow their example by signing a two year agreement with Solidsport. A deal that makes Solidsport the exclusive streaming partner for the top leagues and primarily streaming partner for all handball on all other levels in the region.

“So far it has been mandatory to film full-length games in various divisions and make them available to coaches and referees. With Solidsport we have now found the right partner to take the logical step towards live streaming. We want to use synergies and not only give our clubs the right tool, but also offer viewers a central point of contact for video content.", says Thomas Dieterich, Association Manager of Handballverband Württemberg.  

The HVW is part of a growing community that has recognized that professional streaming is now possible for everyone.

HVW also hosts the yearly Deutschland Cup where regional teams fight for glory in what has become the highest girls competition on regional level in Germany, before the elite talents join the youth national team.

A prestige tournament that now will be broadcasted exclusively on Solidsport.
