Solidsport secured a new investment at the beginning of 2021 to accelerate product development and fund a European expansion. A journey that now begins on the German market.
– The increasing demand for sport streaming on all levels continues to grow rapidly. Solidport is ready to take advantage of that and looks forward to accelerating our growth both in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, says Tobias Thalbäck, CEO of Solidsport.
Solidsport was founded with a clear vision; making it possible for all clubs and teams to broadcast their sport live and create new revenue at the same time. From grassroot to the highest leagues.
With the Solidsport Broadcast app every sport can make a professional sport broadcast, including scoreboard and graphics – by using only a smartphone.
Simple and for free.
I love the idea of Solidsport and strongly believe in it’s potential in the German market.
After successful launches in Sweden and Finland, Solidsport is now in the front seat as the market leading platform for sport broadcasting in the Nordics. Despite the ongoing pandemic, over 43 000 sporting events were live streamed, generating €1 000 000+ to over 5000 broadcasting teams and clubs.
Now the next historical chapter begins.
With a new investment in place, Solidsport is now entering the German market and opening up a new office in Hamburg. One of the key persons to make that happen will be Henry Blunck, who’s hired as new Country Manager on Solidsport.
– I love the idea of Solidsport and strongly believe in it’s potential in the German market. After 15 years in the sports, media and marketing industry this role is a great opportunity for me and a logical next step in my career. I’m looking forward to bringing in my passion, ideas and network to make Solidsport the number one sport broadcasting platform in the DACH area, Blunck says.
Blunck has a long experience of sales, marketing and business development in the German and European sport industry, including working as Head of Business Development at the European Handball Federation.
Now he looks forward to using his experience and contact network to start building the Solidsport business across the German market and will start by 1st October the latest.
– Henry has great knowledge of the german sport market and the right skills and contacts to help us be successful in those new markets. We are very excited by his entry and look forward to seeing a lot of german sport broadcasts, from all sports and on all levels, says Tobias Thalbäck.
Solidsport was founded with the vision of enabling all sports at all levels. That by creating a free and easy streaming platform that enables everyone to broadcast their sport live.
