Solidsport is leaving this year's “Sport & Business” forum, the leading B2B conference for the commercial sport industry in Scandinavia, with a prestigious award: Sports Media Company of the Year 2021.
“Solidsport was first with enabling sport streaming at all levels, now they are largest as well and at the same time the company has generated over 5 000 000€ to thousands of clubs and teams in Sweden and across Europe”.
That was the motivation when the jury announced Solidsport as the winner for “Sport Media Company of the Year 2021” at the 12th “Sport & Business” forum in Stockholm.
– We’re of course honoured to win this award. The need for a good sport streaming platform is increasing rapidly every day, in all sports and on all levels. That is something we’re committed to continue to achieve with our platform and apps, says Johan Lundqvist, co-founder and Product Manager at Solidsport.
We’re very proud of this achievement but we’re also determined that this is just the beginning.
As official streaming partner of 20+ sports associations in the Nordic and Baltic countries, Solidsport reached two new record milestones during 2020 with 45 000+ broadcasted games and passing the 1 million user count at the same time.
During 2021, that story has continued with increasing success with current cooperations and a successful launch on the German market, securing five new partnerships.
– We’ve made great progress the last couple of years with thousands of teams now broadcasting their games from the Nordics to the Baltic Countries and now also the German market, with professional graphics and features and just by using their own smartphones and tablets. We’re very proud of this achievement but we’re also determined that this is just the beginning, Lundqvist says.
Solidsport was founded with the vision of enabling all sports at all levels. That by creating a free and easy streaming platform that enables everyone to broadcast their sport live. Since the start, 160 000+ games and sporting events have been broadcasted on Solidsport, generating 5 000 000€+ in revenue to those thousands teams and clubs using the platform.
