Basketball Finland expands partnership with Solidsport

Basketball Finland stays with Solidsport to continue developing their streaming platform for all their teams and clubs. A partnership that started during 2019 with the purpose of enabling basketball at all levels and since then has delivered impressive results.

Over 19 000 streamed games from 500+ team and club channels, attracting 50 000+ unique viewers. That is the result of the close cooperation between Basketball Finland and their official streaming partner Solidsport. A partnership that now has been renewed for the upcoming season.

We're excited to continue our cooperation with Solidsport and expand watching basketball even more over Finland. Streaming makes it possible for all the basketball fans to see their teams play whenever they want, even after the actual game times and go back to the great memories of the games.

– Ari Tammivaara, Managing Director at Basketball Finland.

With a new signed partnership in place, both parties are now ready to take the cooperation to the next level. That means that all clubs and teams, all the way up to the third senior divisions, will be able to broadcast their games and create a new source of revenue. Furthermore, a special league solution will be launched for the U19 boys and girls series at the same time as the development with the sportsdata system Torneopal continues, enabling livescores and automated game scheduling.

We’re very happy about the results that we together have been able to accomplish throughout this cooperation. The teams and clubs have done a great job with their channels and has together with Basketball Finland made it possible to watch Finnish basketball to an extent that has never been possible before.

– Sauli Silvonen, Country Manager at Solidsport.
