Former Secretary General of Svensk Elitfotboll Mats Enquist has been appointed Chairman of Solidsport. The appointment comes during an intense growth phase as the Swedish sports tech company accelerates its expansion across Europe and helps rights holders take full control of their own media rights.
Mats Enquist served as Secretary General of Svensk Elitfotboll from 2012 to 2023, a period of major commercial and digital development for Allsvenskan and Superettan. He has also served on the board of European Leagues.
During my years at Svensk Elitfotboll, one of the key questions was how football could strengthen control of its rights, customer relationships and digital development. In Solidsport, I see a company that has built the technology, expertise and business model to make that possible for more rights holders. Mats Enquist has extensive experience from senior roles across both sport and technology. Before his years at Svensk Elitfotboll, he served as Secretary General of the Swedish Golf Federation from 2002 to 2008. He has since held several positions within golf, including as Vice Chairman of PGA of Sweden, and has represented Swedish professional football internationally on the board of European Leagues. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at IT security company Technology Nexus.
